Talk about Laid Back....You can actually walk your dog in your pajamas in my wonderfully beautiful, slightly askew town and not get a second glance. You can walk your dog to the Post Office (which is waterfront, by the way), greeting neighbors, 2 and 4-legged alike, stroll home along the beach, possibly stopping to sit for a spell and read the morning papers on the bench at the Submarine Memorial --- yes, New Suffolk is the site of the first U.S. Submarine Base...how odd. You could probably even get away with wearing your pajamas to the Wednesday evening Regatta, drink wine on the beach, and cheer for your favorite yachtsman, for whom you'd then buy a celebratory beer at Legends, the local dive (also waterfront, down the road from the waterfront Post Office). Oh, and you can get some very chic little PJs at the waterfront boutique, Summer Girl...that's my town, New Suffolk, NY on the beautiful North Fork of long Island.
